Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Discretion (discretion.chat) collects when you use it, why, who helps us process it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: you can try practice conversations without an account or giving us your name, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete what we hold.

1. What we collect

Your practice conversations. The messages you type in a practice scenario and the replies and feedback generated for you, linked to a random visitor ID stored in a cookie (not your name).
Waitlist details. If you join the waitlist: your email address, what you told us you want to practise, and which scenario you tried.
Visit information. Your IP address, approximate country, browser and device type, the page you arrived on, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example utm_source).
Account information,only if you created an account on the former Discretion AI service: your email address and sign-in details, and the data described in that service's policy.

Please don't type sensitive details (ID or bank numbers, passwords, health records, other people's personal information) into a practice conversation. Describe situations in general terms instead.

2. Why we use it

To run the practice conversations and write your feedback.
To email you about early access, if you joined the waitlist. That email is the only thing we use your address for.
To keep the Service working and safe: preventing abuse, applying daily usage limits and fixing faults.
To understand which scenarios and which links bring people to the Service, and to improve the conversations.

3. Who processes it for us

We don't sell your personal data. We use these providers to run the Service:

OpenRouter, which sends your practice messages to the AI model that writes the reply (currently models from Google, DeepSeek or Meta, run by providers OpenRouter selects).
Supabase, which hosts our database.
Vercel, which hosts the website and provides privacy-friendly performance and visit analytics.
Telegram, which we use to send ourselves operational alerts, such as a new visitor's country and landing page or a masked waitlist signup (for example j***@gmail.com).
Google Analytics, if it is enabled on the site, to measure visits.

These providers may process data outside your country. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep practice conversations and visit information while they are useful for running and improving the Service, and waitlist details until the Service launches and you are notified, or until you ask us to remove them. You can ask for deletion at any time (see below).

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email compliance@discretion.chat. If you ask about practice conversations, include your visitor ID if you can - it is the value of the discretion_guest_idcookie in your browser - since we don't otherwise know which conversations are yours. You can also unsubscribe from the waitlist by replying to our email.

6. Age

The Service is for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

7. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to recognise your browser and keep the Service working. See the Cookie Policy.

8. The former Discretion AI service

Data collected by the adult companion service that ran on this domain until 30 September 2026 has not been deleted as part of the change and is no longer used to provide a service. If you used it and want your data deleted, email compliance@discretion.chat.

9. Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update this page and its effective date. Questions or requests: compliance@discretion.chat.
